Basketball: D’Tigers Beat Senegal To Qualify for Men’s Afrobasket Final
Nigeria’s men basketball team, D’Tigers have won their semi final battle by beaten Senegal 76-71 to qualify for the final of the men’s Afrobasket in Tunisia.
D’Tigers beat the impressive Senegal with overall points of 76-71, and will play the hosts Tunisia for the title on Saturday.
It was a keenly contested match with Nigeria winning the first quarter 15 points to 12, the D’Tigers took the second quarter again by 19-17 points, and fought hard to win the third quarter by 18-16 points.
Senegal won the final quarter by 26-24 points but was not good enough to stop Nigeria from proceeding in the quest to defend the trophy they won in 2015.
Nigeria will face Tunisia in the final billed for Saturday.
